While the actual scenes on the steps on the Library were filmed in the studio, establishing shots were taking of the actual building. To avoid crowds at the busy intersection in front of the Library, the location shots were filmed at 8AM on Christmas morning. Here the technicians lay the Yellow Brick Road linoleum.
